Most important to note are the keynote talks by His Holiness Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, a spiritual Master, and founder of Science of Spirituality, a multi-faith organization dedicated to personal transformation through meditation. His keynote on Saturday will be, “What is Meditation?” and Sunday’s talk is, “The Healing Power of Meditation and the Vegetarian Diet.” Both events will take place in the main tent at 2:30PM. Last year, over 2,000 people attended these uplifting discourses.
On Saturday, August 10, all are invited to an engaging, educational panel discussion. The multi-disciplinary panel comprised of a licensed professional counselor, a parent and educator, the school advisor for Darshan Academy, the Regional Officer for US schools, and a family doctor, will address “Enhancing Well-Being with Diet and Meditation.” The panel discussion will be moderated and will include time for questions and answers.
Separate from the panel discussion, several doctors and healthcare professionals are lined up to speak about topics such as how vegetarianism can give you a higher quality of life as well as combat cancer and help you manage pain without drugs. Other topics include spiritual fulfillment, tips for living youthfully, and plant-based nutrition for vibrant and optimal living. Some talks will be presented in Spanish.
Last year, Veggie Fest attendees learned how to start their own organic garden from Arjan Stephens, Executive VP of Sales and Marketing for Nature’s Path Organic. This year he’ll be back with more great tips in his presentation, “Growing Delicious Organic Veggies,” while his father, Arran Stephens, CEO and founder of Nature’s Path, will deliver an important talk on “Organics and Non GMO and its Impact on Health.” Attendees of all ages will be inspired when Yuvraj Duggal, a teenage activist, shares, “My Story: How Compassion for Animals Made a Difference.”
In addition to these and other talks by doctors, authors, educators, and naturopaths at Veggie Fest, you’ll also love the huge international vegetarian food court, dozens of vegetarian cooking demos by restaurant owners, cookbook authors, and chefs, as well as the fun-filled activities in the children’s tent, great live music all day long, and over one hundred vendor booths to explore. It’s a weekend of fun you won’t want to miss. Admission is free, as is parking, so grab your friends and we’ll see you at Veggie Fest in Naperville, IL August 10 and 11.
